Chloe Bertrand, LMSW

*Memorial office

Hey there! My name is Chloe and I am a licensed social worker. I know seeking therapy can be a scary thing, but it is a brave one, so I am grateful for your courage. A fellow social worker, Brené Brown, has a quote that I think sums this up perfectly, stating “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” My desire is to support you in your journey of healing and better understanding yourself, creating an environment in which vulnerability is honored and safe.

I received my master’s in social work at North Carolina State University and have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from as young as 4 years old and into late adulthood. I enjoy working with all populations but specialize in working with individuals with substance use disorders, with young children and parents, and with individuals going through transitional life stages or changes. I utilize modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and concepts and practices from somatic based therapies, with a trauma-informed approach. The mind and body connection is a passion of mine and I love to incorporate this into sessions through breathwork, mindfulness exercises, and practicing identifying where different emotions are felt and stored within the body.

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy being outside with my dog, running, camping, spending time laughing and dancing with my loved ones, cooking beautiful meals, and traveling to watch my brother play guitar in his band.

My belief is that every individual, no matter how young or old, has the right to live an enriched and purposeful life that is aligned with their values and feels authentic to them. It is my goal as a therapist to walk alongside you as you navigate these waters and be there to help you better understand what you want out of life and how to get there in the best way for you. We all deserve to love our lives, no matter what we have been through.

If you feel like we would be a good fit, please reach out and schedule a free consultation. I look forward to meeting you!
