Hey there! I'm Kristen, your friendly neighborhood Clinical Intern, and I'm here to embark on an exciting journey of self-discovery and growth with you! Grab a cup of coffee (or tea, if that's your jam), and let me tell you a bit about myself. This way we can start seeing if we're a good match for each other and start that exciting journey!
One of my core values as a counselor is authenticity. I believe the most powerful transformations happen when we embrace our true selves and allow vulnerability to guide us. So, you can expect a judgment-free zone where we value self-expression freely, quirks and all. After all, life's way too short to pretend to be someone you're not!
With me, you'll find a client-centered approach is at the heart of everything I do. What does this mean for you, your teen, your kiddo, and your partner? It simply means that I will listen attentively to your needs, respect your unique perspective, and tailor our therapeutic journey to your individual goals. You're the hero of your story, and I'm here to provide the support and tools you need to unlock your full potential.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL). I will be working towards my licensure under the supervision of Samar Ansari, LPC, Mallory Striesfeld, LPC-S, LMFT-Associate, and the awesome team at Healing Pathways of Houston.
In my free time, you can find me exploring the bike trails through Houston, trying out a new recipe, relaxing at home with my three dogs, or catching up on the latest book in my favorite sci-fi/fantasy series. Contact me for a FREE 15-minute consultation soon, so we can begin this journey together. I look forward to meeting you and witnessing the incredible growth that awaits!
