Bee Yourself: Disney's Aladdin Helps with Self-Esteem

Disney is full of life lessons, and today’s lesson comes from the one and only Aladdin! Having a high sense of self-esteem may be something that you’re born with, but it’s also something that can be built! Aladdin is going to give some helpful suggestions for how to build self-esteem and self-confidence. Let’s go!

  1. Bee-lieve in yourself: When you believe in yourself, anything can happen! Genie helped Aladdin become a prince, showing him that anything is possible. Borrow the confidence of a friend or family member and use that confidence to go after what you want!

  2. Bee reflective: Bee-ing self-aware is one of the greatest qualities to have. Knowing your goals, dreams, and desires is key to having the confidence to make it happen.

  3. Bee a good friend: Being there for the people close to you shows that you value your friendship with them and that you’re someone they can count on.

  4. Bee a “diamond in the rough”: Diamonds are proof that beautiful things can form under rough circumstances. Aladdin is a shining example that you have the potential to become the person you’re meant to be. Let this be a reminder that the challenges you go through are shaping the beautiful diamond that you are!

  5. Bee a leader: Following your own path and doing what feels right is key to building self-esteem. Trusting yourself enough to not stray away from your values, and instead leading by example. This is a sign of confidence and security in oneself.

Thanks to Aladdin for sharing these helpful lessons!
